Who We Are

More than three centuries ago a small brick home was built on a hill in what soon was called, Virginia. The Moffat family traveled far from a small village called Waverly in England. So as a way to pay homage, and to help make his family feel more at home William Moffat named his property Waverly farm.

Today that home still stands and we find ourselves mesmerized daily by the beauty of this land and the original home they built. There is a peace and quiet here that is easy to settle into. A natural world with spring water flowing underground that for many years was said to be healing and restorative. Today we find ourselves telling these stories through carefully crafted cuisine, bucolic beauty, and hosting our guests to feel like they have finally come home.

Book an encounter at Waverly Springs, enjoy the thoughtful cuisine of chef Tarver King, and let us gratefully take care of every detail to give you an evening not soon forgotten.
